Patch 1.1.30 — Siege Bomb Quest, Quest Tracking & Gameplay Improvements

We're continuing to expand and refine Tempest Conquer with new quest content, gameplay fixes, combat improvements, and further enhancements to the browser client.

This update introduces the Siege Bomb quest, brings a new in-game Quest Panel, improves experience calculations, and addresses several issues affecting MoonBox, mobile gameplay, character interactions, and world navigation.

💣 Siege Bomb — New Guild War Quest

A new multi-stage side quest is now available, allowing players to craft Siege Bombs for use during Guild War.

Siege Bombs offer an alternative way to damage enemy gates, but obtaining and using them requires preparation.

How to Obtain a Siege Bomb

Begin your journey by speaking with Old Quarrier in Ape City.

  • Stage 1 — Crude Saltpeter: Defeat Bandits to collect 20 Crude Saltpeter. Quest drops have a 5% chance while the relevant stage is active.
  • Stage 2 — Sulphur: Collect 5 Sulphur from BanditL33 monsters, with a 3% drop chance.
  • Stage 3 — Crafting: Visit Norbert in Maple Forest with the required materials and 100,000 silver to craft one Siege Bomb.

Using Siege Bombs in Guild War

  • Siege Bombs can be used near eligible Guild War gates during an active war.
  • A successful explosion deals 25% of the gate's maximum HP.
  • Players must be within 5 tiles of the target gate.
  • Using a Siege Bomb also kills the player, making it a powerful but costly siege tactic.
  • Invalid usage attempts do not consume the bomb.

Plan your attacks carefully — four successful explosions can theoretically destroy a gate from full health!

📜 New Quest Panel & Navigation

We've introduced a new Quest Panel to the browser client, providing a central place to view quest information and track objectives.

The panel includes four categories:

  • Available — Discover quests you can begin.
  • Accepted — View quests currently in progress.
  • Events — A dedicated category for event-related quests.
  • Completed — Review completed quest entries.

The Siege Bomb quest is the first quest available through the new panel, with additional quest integration planned for future updates.

Quest Tracking & Path Finding

  • View quest descriptions, objectives, progress, and rewards.
  • See the next NPC or location required for your current quest stage.
  • Use Path Finding to navigate toward quest objectives.
  • Navigation supports routes across multiple maps and portals.
  • Routes follow walkable terrain to help avoid blocked areas.
  • Cancel navigation using the on-screen control, Space, Escape, or manual movement.
  • Receive feedback when a route is blocked or no longer valid.
  • View quest reward icons and item information directly from the panel.

Quest Management

  • Accepted Siege Bomb quests can be abandoned from the Quest Panel.
  • Abandoning a quest requires confirmation.
  • Abandoning the Siege Bomb quest removes collected quest materials and resets progress, allowing the quest to be started again.

The Quest Panel also adapts to different browser and mobile viewport sizes.

⚔️ Combat & Experience Improvements

We've corrected several issues affecting combat damage calculations and experience rewards.

  • Fixed an issue where defeating a monster in a single hit could result in incorrect or missing experience.
  • Improved experience calculations when damage exceeds a monster's remaining HP.
  • Normal monsters now display the full calculated damage from powerful finishing blows.
  • Experience rewards remain based on the monster's actual remaining health rather than excess damage.
  • Preserved special damage-display handling for scaled bosses.
  • Improved experience notifications to reflect the amount actually awarded after applicable rates and bonuses.
  • Corrected team spouse experience bonus eligibility to require a matching reciprocal spouse relationship.

Experience Gain Display

The browser client now provides clearer feedback when earning experience.

  • Experience gains are briefly displayed as a percentage of the current level's requirement.
  • Improved visibility of progression feedback during monster hunting.

These changes aim to make experience rewards more accurate and progression easier to follow.

🎁 MoonBox Quest Improvements

Several issues affecting the MoonBox quest and reward exchanges have been addressed.

  • Fixed situations where reward exchanges could consume materials despite insufficient inventory space.
  • MoonBox openings now preserve the box when its reward cannot be added to a full inventory.
  • Improved token exchanges to consume only the required number of tokens.
  • Fixed dialogue interactions when opening MoonBoxes directly from the inventory.
  • Improved quest exit choices and travel handling across relevant quest areas.
  • Additional safeguards against failed reward delivery and item loss.

These improvements make the MoonBox experience more reliable, particularly when managing limited inventory space.

📱 Mobile Gameplay Improvements

We've continued improving touchscreen gameplay and mobile interactions.

  • Added a dedicated Mine / Stop control when mining is available.
  • Fixed repeated mining requests incorrectly restarting the mining reward timer.
  • Improved Quest Panel positioning and scaling on smaller screens.
  • Refined quest navigation and cancellation controls for mobile players.
  • Additional adjustments to interface positioning and viewport handling.

👥 Team & Guild Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where joining an existing team did not immediately populate the current team roster.
  • Improved team information synchronization when joining parties.
  • Added a clearer cancellation option for guild targeting actions.

🛡️ Equipment & Item Information

We've expanded equipment enhancement tooltips to provide more detailed information about item bonuses.

Supported bonuses now include:

  • Health
  • Physical damage and defense
  • Magic attack and magic defense
  • Accuracy
  • Dodge

These improvements make it easier to understand the benefits of equipment enhancements.

🗺️ World & Visual Improvements

  • Improved monster appearance handling, including support for additional monster appearance variations.
  • Fixed walkable terrain alignment around the Twin City bridges.
  • Improved bridge rendering so characters standing on bridges appear at the correct visual depth.
  • Refined Quest Panel layout and positioning across different screen sizes.
  • Improved positioning of the in-game announcement area when the game loads or the viewport changes.
  • Additional interface and rendering adjustments across the browser client.

We're continuing to expand Tempest Conquer with more classic gameplay content while improving the systems already available.

The new Quest Panel also provides a foundation for additional quests and better progression tracking as development continues.

As always, there are still areas we're working to polish, and your feedback, suggestions, and bug reports remain extremely valuable.

Thank you for playing and supporting Tempest Conquer!
