Create one Tempest website account, link one or more game accounts, then play in your browser from the Dashboard.

Your website and game accounts

Your Tempest website account signs you in to the website and Dashboard.
Your game account holds your characters and is linked to your Tempest website account.
Browser play starts from PLAY in the Dashboard. It uses a short-lived login ticket, so you do not enter or share your game-account password in the browser.

Keep your website and game-account passwords separate. Never post either password in Community, Discord, screenshots, or support requests.

1. Create your Tempest website account

Open the Tempest account page.
Choose Register and complete registration on the central account website.
Return to Tempest and sign in when redirected back.

Your website account owns your Dashboard, linked game accounts, characters, and website purchases.

2. Create or link a game account

Open your Dashboard.
In Game Accounts & Characters, choose Create / Link Game Account.
Choose a password, or keep the friendly password generated for you.
Choose Create & Link Account.

The Account ID must be 3–16 characters using letters, numbers, or underscores. A password must be 6–16 letters or numbers. Your game account is linked to your Tempest website account and appears in the Dashboard.

If a server projection needs attention, open that account's Manage menu and use its retry form with the same game-account password.

3. Play in your browser

From the Dashboard, find the game account you want to use.
Choose PLAY. If the account has no character yet, choose PLAY & CREATE CHARACTER.
The browser game opens and signs in to the selected account. You do not need to type the game-account password.

Use the PLAY button on the Dashboard so Tempest can issue a short-lived login ticket for the account you selected. Do not copy or share login tickets.

Common setup problems

I cannot see the Dashboard

Open the Tempest account page and sign in with your website account. Website sign-in and game-account credentials are separate.

Game account creation is unavailable

The Dashboard needs an enabled game server that is accepting account-creation requests. Try again later if the modal says creation is temporarily unavailable.

An account needs attention

Open Manage on that account card and choose Retry account linking. Enter the same game-account password used when the account was created.

Browser PLAY is unavailable

Check the account's status in Game Accounts & Characters. Browser PLAY is available for eligible linked accounts on the supported browser-play realm. If the account still is not ready, try again later.
