⛏️ Mining and Gem Rates

Mining is the reliable baseline source for normal gems on TempestCO.

Mining attempts occur approximately every 3 seconds while a character is actively mining with a suitable mining tool. A successful rule produces a normal gem base, then the server applies the quality roll:

• 1% Super;
• 9.9% Refined;
• 89.1% Normal.

These are conditional quality chances after a gem reward has been selected.

Mine locations

Mine rules are server-side and use ordered first-success checks. The rates below are configured rule chances, not additive flat percentages.

Current configured gem rules

Phoenix Castle mine (pc.mine)

The effective chance of receiving any gem in one attempt is approximately 3.31% after first-success ordering.

Twin City mine (tc.mine)

The effective chance of receiving any gem in one attempt is approximately 3.21% after first-success ordering.

Ape City mine (ac.mine)

The effective chance of receiving any gem in one attempt is approximately 2.18% after first-success ordering.

Desert City mine (dc.mine)

The effective chance of receiving any gem in one attempt is approximately 2.18% after first-success ordering.

Gem roles

• Phoenix Gem: increases attack speed.
• Dragon Gem: increases attack power.
• Tortoise Gem: reduces incoming damage by 2%, 4%, or 6% for normal, refined, or super quality.
• Fury Gem: supports weapon experience.
• Kylin Gem: supports weapon experience.
• Violet Gem: supports weapon experience.
• Moon Gem: supports spell experience.

Economy intent

Phoenix and Dragon Gems have a modestly higher mining priority because they support core offensive progression. Tortoise Gem is now available from the two general-purpose gem mines at a controlled lower rate so defensive progression is farmable without making it common.

Store and other acquisition sources remain separate from these mining rates.
